1. Description of Service

ShowDeck is a personal entertainment tracker that allows you to organize your TV shows and movies locally on your device. ShowDeck operates as an offline-first application; data is stored locally in your browser unless you explicitly choose to back it up to a personal cloud storage service (e.g., Google Drive).

2. Use of Service

• Personal Use: You may use ShowDeck solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Third-Party APIs: ShowDeck utilizes third-party services like The Movie Database (TMDB) to fetch metadata. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of these third-party services.
• API Keys: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any API keys you provide to the application.

3. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is paramount. Because ShowDeck stores data locally on your device:

• No Central Servers: We do not host a central database containing your personal library.
• Data Responsibility: You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for any data loss that occurs if your local browser storage is cleared.

4. Google Drive Sync (Optional)

If you use the optional Google Drive sync feature:

• ShowDeck will request limited access to your Google Drive (drive.appdata or drive.file scope) strictly for the purpose of saving and retrieving your own encrypted or raw backup files.
• We do not have backend access to your Google Drive files.

5. Limitation of Liability

ShowDeck is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creators of ShowDeck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

6. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of ShowDeck after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
